OPPO has just confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra flagship will launch in April. That month was rumored thus far, and it just became official. The exact launch date was not shared just yet.

As a reminder, this smartphone will come in a global variant, unlike all of its predecessors. OPPO confirmed recently that the Find X9 Ultra will become the company’s very first ‘Ultra’ flagship to reach markets outside of China.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is coming in April, it’s now official

OPPO confirmed the launch month of the device via the image below. You can also see part of the phone in that image, the right part, we’re guessing. You can see that the frame will be flat, and that an orange-colored button will sit there too.

Considering the placement and shape of that button, we’re not looking at the power/lock key. This is almost certainly a camera shutter, as the placement makes sense. Using an orange one is an interesting choice by OPPO, and possibly a shout-out to Hasselblad.

You can also see that OPPO is using the ‘Your Next Camera’ slogan here, obviously leaning on the camera prowess of the device. Needless to say, this is expected to become one of the best camera smartphones on the market.

This phone is expected to offer an outstanding camera setup and flagship specs overall

The OPPO Find X9 Pro is already an outstanding camera phone, but OPPO is looking to take things to a whole new level with its ‘Ultra’ flagship. We don’t have the details yet, but rumors have been all over the place.

One thing that most rumors agree on is the fact that the Sony LYT-901 sensor will be used on the main camera. That is Sony’s latest flagship offering, and the company’s first 200-megapixel sensor for smartphones. It’s a 1/1.12-inch camera sensor.

The phone is also tipped to utilize a 200-megapixel telephoto camera, though we’re not sure on the details just yet. It remains to be seen if OPPO will use two telephoto cameras like it did last year, a regular telephoto and a periscope telephoto.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip will fuel the device, while a huge battery is expected too, along with fast wired and wireless charging.
