
Matt Reeves has marked Batman Day with a social media message sharing his excitement for the upcoming The Batman: Part II.
Saturday was Batman Day around the world, and Matt Reeves marked the occasion with a new social media message, saying, “I feel so honored to be preparing to shoot the Next Chapter of our story. This character means so much to me. What a privilege. Can’t wait to share lots of exciting things about the movie with you all in the weeks and months to come… A Happy #BatmanDay ! #TheBatmanEpicCrimeSaga”
Reeves has been speaking a lot about the upcoming sequel as of late. Filming is currently scheduled to commence in Spring 2026 with most sources saying April specifically.
The Batman hit theaters on March 4, 2022 and went on to earn $765.95 million dollars globally. The franchise received an interim expansion with the release of The Penguin – an original series with Colin Farrell reprising his role as Oz Cobb from the first film – on Max.
The untitled The Batman sequel is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 1, 2027.
