During Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, several friendships were under the microscope. Taylor Frankie Paul’s newly mended friendship with Miranda McWhorter experienced some tension. When Taylor learned that her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, had hooked up with one of Miranda’s friends, she was furious.

Meanwhile, Season 5 of SLOMW is currently paused amid an open domestic abuse investigation involving Taylor and Dakota. Naturally, this would be a lot for the MomTok members to navigate. And the future of the series, and Taylor’s involvement, are big question marks.

In addition, a tape leaked of a 2023 domestic violence incident between Dakota and Taylor while her child, Indy, was present. As a result, Taylor pleaded guilty in abeyance to the charge of aggravated assault. Once the tape surfaced, ABC canceled Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette.

So, Miranda shared her feelings in her Instagram Stories. Miranda wrote, “Domestic violence and abuse of any kind is something I take very seriously. As a human, and especially a mother, I cannot support that kind of behavior.” She added, “My heart is with the children in this, and I hope they’re safe, supported, and surrounded by love.”

Meanwhile, Dana Bowling, a content creator, posted her theory via Instagram that someone from MomTok who “does not have Taylor’s back” leaked the disturbing video. And her “first guess” was Miranda. Of course, Miranda responded in the comments.

“The first time I saw that video was the same day you all did. None of us girls have ever been in possession of it or any other evidence,” she wrote. “My intent with my statement was not to shade Taylor, but to simply address that I do not support nor condone that behavior from either party.” Miranda added, “I have my theories on who leaked the video, but i can promise you it wasn’t any of the women.”
