A few minutes ago, Samsung launched two new Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy A37. They come as successors to the Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A36. While there are still ten days for the brand to make them available to purchase, a video showing the Galaxy A57’s teardown has already surfaced online.

On YouTube, PBKreviews has shared a video showcasing the disassembly of the Galaxy A57. According to it, the covers for the rear camera lens can be removed without opening the back panel—simply heat them and pry them off. To remove the back panel itself, you need to apply heat and separate it from the frame using a prying tool.

Once inside, you’ll find the rear camera modules, the motherboard cover, the battery, a bottom board housing the speaker and vibration motor, and another board containing the primary microphone, SIM card reader, and USB Type-C port. All these components are secured with 18 screws.

The motherboard cover features a graphite thermal sheet for heat dissipation and an earpiece speaker, which is sealed with a rubber gasket. Removing it reveals the mainboard, which houses three rear cameras: a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide unit, and a 5MP macro camera.

Galaxy A57 has a larger vapour chamber than Galaxy A56

Flipping the mainboard over, you’ll find another graphite thermal sheet. Underneath it sits a thermal pad covering the processor. Once removed, the chip—bearing the model number Samsung E8865—becomes visible. Above the motherboard, there is the front-facing camera, which is glued in place, requiring a sharp tool to carefully loosen the adhesive before removal.

Moving to the lower section, removing both boards exposes the fingerprint scanner. The battery is enclosed in an adhesive pouch with four pull tabs—one on each side—designed to make removal easier. Taking out the battery assembly reveals the phone’s vapour chamber, which, according to the channel, is larger than the one in the Galaxy A56.

PBKreviews also notes that accidentally inserting a SIM ejector tool into the speaker or microphone openings won’t cause them damage, as the internal components are positioned away from these ports. The channel says that the phone is easy to disassemble and repair, and therefore, has given it a repairability score of 9/10, the same as that of the Galaxy A56.
