Disney Store’s upcoming collections are traveling from a galaxy far, far away.
The retailer will officially kick off its 2026 “May the 4th Be With You” campaign with a slate of new merchandise collections and a monthlong rollout of weekly product drops timed to the “Star Wars” holidays.
The centerpiece is a collection themed after The Mandalorian ahead of “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” the franchise’s newest live-action film out this May. The seven-piece assortment spans apparel and accessories splashed with images of The Mando. The collection launches April 4 on DisneyStore.com, followed by an in-person debut at Disney Parks on May 4.
Disney Store is building momentum with a series of weekly Friday releases leading up to the holiday. The countdown begins April 10 and will spotlight themed capsules tied to specific corners of the “Star Wars” universe: an Endor Collection on April 10, a Stormtroopers Collection on April 17, a Jerseys Collection on April 24 and a Podracing Collection landing May 1.
“Star Wars” has proven to be one of Disney’s most reliable merchandising engines since the company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012. Past releases have included everything from retro-inspired graphics referencing the original trilogy to more niche drops centered on “The Mandalorian,” Darth Vader iconography and park-exclusive Galaxy’s Edge merchandise. Disney has also leaned into collaborations to elevate its “Star Wars” retail footprint, partnering with brands such as Levi’s, Adidas and Uniqlo for limited-edition capsules.
Weekly countdown drops ahead of tentpole dates appears to be a broader strategy for the Disney Store. Most recently, the retailer dropped new collectibles and merch in waves for its Disney100 anniversary campaign.
