A few days into the rollout, Samsung is expanding AirDrop support over Quick Share to Galaxy S26 series devices in the US market.

Samsung announced on Sunday night that it would bring Google’s AirDrop over Quick Share support to the Galaxy S26 series, with the rollout starting in Korea. The company did indeed start the rollout that very next day, with some other regions added in earlier this week.

The US is now in the mix, too.

A growing number of reports show the speedy expansion of the needed firmware update that delivers AirDrop support on Galaxy S26 devices, and there are users in the US seeing the update. Specifically, S26 owners on Reddit located in California, Washington DC, Texas, and other parts of the country are seeing the update go live.

There are two things you’ll want to watch for. First and foremost, a firmware update ending in “AZCF.” On top of that, Samsung also mentioned that you’ll need Google Play Services v26.11.XX or newer. Once active on your device, Samsung confirmed to 9to5Google that AirDrop is enabled in Quick Share by default, so you’ll just need to ensure both parties set their devices to “Everyone” mode.
