The 2026 Circuit of the Americas round of the MotoGP world championship is proving to be a hotbed for limited edition Italian superbikes, with Aprilia announcing an X250TH special, honouring 250 years of US independence.
Priced at €115,000 plus VAT, it comes just hours after the reveal of the new Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario – a £135,000 road-going V4 helping to mark the brand’s 100th anniversary, also launched at the event.

Unlike the Ducati, the Aprilia is not road legal and will be limited to just 30 units worldwide. Only five of these will be available for wealthy clients outside the US, with the striking livery providing a unique take on the stars and stripes of the American flag. Â

The bike itself is based on the £77,000 RSV4 X-GP revealed in 2025 – wearing the same MotoGP derived carbon fibre bodywork, ‘ground effect’ aero package, and again powered by a race-tuned 65-degree 1099cc V4 engine producing a claimed 236.7bhp at 13,750rpm.
With no homologation hoops to jump through, the headline development on the X250TH is the inclusion of fully carbon brakes – said to be the same as the ones used on the firm’s factory RS-GP MotoGP machinery.
Although completely unnecessary for the vast majority of owners, the large 340mm rotors are said to weigh half as much as a set of steel discs, dramatically reducing unsprung mass, and work with specialist pads – plus billet aluminium Brembo calipers with cooling fins. Overall dry weight comes in at 165kg.

Holding the single seat and rear aero in place is a carbon fibre support structure, and Aprilia themselves say that the bike can generate up to five times the amount of downforce compared to a standard RSV4 road bike.
Revving out to a heady 14,100rpm, peak torque of 96.7lb.ft arrives at 11,750rpm – with the engine featuring an increased compression ratio, STM dry clutch, competition airbox, and shouting through a titanium double-exit exhaust system made by SC Project.
The engine is held in place by an aluminium trellis chassis, with manually adjustable Öhlins found at both ends. Forged magnesium Marchesini rims complete the look, shod with the same Pirelli slicks as those used in the World Superbike championship.

Each bike will be sold with a laptop to manage the complex ECU and electronics, plus a garage mat, bike cover, titanium paddock stands and a tyre cover.
