A hattrick of tries to winger Fehi Fineanganofo has helped propel the Hurricanes to a crushing 52-14 victory over the Reds in Wellington.
The home side went clear at the top of the Super Rugby Pacific table, as they overran their opponents in the second half, after leading 24-14 at halftime.
The Wellington-based side just had too much attacking firepower, with their passing skill and pace out wide proving a constant headache for the Queenslanders, whose four-game winning run abruptly came to an end.
The Hurricanes ran in eight tries to the two scored by the Reds in the first half for their 11th straight win against the Reds.
The Hurricanes have a bye next weekend, before games against the Blues and Chiefs, while the Reds, who remain in fourth place on the table, have the Force and Crusaders as their next two opponents.
