Police are appealing for sightings of an American tourist last seen at the Auckland Botanic Gardens around 1pm today.

Police said the family of the missing man, Evan Harris, were worried about his wellbeing due to medical concerns.

“Evan is wearing a navy jumper with Tampa in white, black trousers
and a dark backpack,” police said.

Anyone who sees Harris is asked to call 111, and use the event number P065910414.
