South Korea’s mortgage rates climbed above 7% for the first time in nearly three and a half years, banking industry sources said on Sunday. The surge came as the US-Iran war fanned fears over inflation and knocked down the won currency, raising expectations that the central bank is likely to ramp up policy interest rates.
