Taskmaster legend Alex Horne has teased the cast for season 23, revealing that there will be an Oscar winner among the line-up.
The beloved comedy game show is set to return to our screens with season 21 on Thursday 9 April, with the likes of Silicon Valley and Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani and The Thick of It and The Day Today creator Armando Iannucci joining Greg Davies and his assistant Horne.
And there are more starry casts lined up for future episodes, Horne recently revealed in an interview with Huw Fullerton for Radio Times magazine.
Horne teased that season 22, filming on which had almost wrapped at the time of interview, has cast a real hero of his.
Meanwhile, speaking about Taskmaster season 23, he added: “I could give you a sneaky bit of information for the distant future. We have got an Oscar winner in a future series.”

The cast for season 21 was confirmed earlier this year. Alongside Nanjiani and Iannucci, it also features Gavin & Stacey actress Joanna Page, Last One Laughing comedian Amy Gledhill and The Masked Singer presenter Joel Dommett.
Asked whether there are any moments that could become “classic” Taskmaster moments in the upcoming season, Horne previously told Radio Times: “There is a moment involving Kumail Nanjiani. I don’t want to give much away, but he gives a lot away about what he does by himself in his hotel room. So that’s what you’ve got to tune in for.”
