Amazfit is preparing to launch two new smartwatches in India, the Active 3 Premium and the T-Rex Ultra 2. The company has started teasing both models after introducing them globally last month. Sales will take place through Amazon India, the Amazfit India online store, and offline retail channels, although the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed.
The T-Rex Ultra 2 is the more rugged of the two. It uses a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The build includes a Grade 5 titanium bezel and case back, aimed at durability. It comes with a 10 ATM water-resistance rating and carries dual diving certifications, making it suitable for underwater use.
Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2
For outdoor use, the watch supports six satellite positioning systems and includes full-colour global maps. It also offers 64GB of internal storage. A built-in dual-mode flashlight is included, with adjustable brightness and a Boost Mode for maximum output. There is also a green light mode designed to reduce interference with night vision goggles. For safety, the device includes a dedicated SOS signal function.
Battery life is rated at up to 30 days in standard smartwatch mode, and it can run for over 50 hours with continuous GPS tracking.
Amazfit Active 3 Premium
The Active 3 Premium is designed as a more compact fitness-focused smartwatch. It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The screen is protected by sapphire glass and is housed in a 45mm stainless steel case with four physical control buttons.
It includes built-in running workouts powered by Zepp Coach. The watch supports a six-satellite positioning system and offers offline maps for navigation. It comes with 4GB of internal storage for apps and data.
Battery life on the Active 3 Premium is rated at up to 12 days under typical use, and up to 7 days with heavy activity.
Both models target different users, with the T-Rex Ultra 2 focusing on rugged outdoor use and the Active 3 Premium aimed at everyday fitness tracking.
