As fans revisit Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and JFK Jr.’s ill-fated romance (and the power couple’s signature style), the human rights activist appeared to draw fashion inspiration from none other than matriarch Jackie Kennedy Onassis as she debuted a new rich mom-coded hair transformation with oversized sunglasses on Wednesday.
In photos posted by Clooney’s celebrity hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos on April 1, the 48-year-old barrister could be seen showing off a fresh—and completely luxe—dye job for spring. Clooney debuted a hair refresh while making an appearance in Milan, Italy for a Cartier Women Initiative Dialogue—and the hairstylist to the stars revealed that he fittingly took inspiration from the brand’s iconic Panthère jewelry line for the beauty transformation.

“I wanted to subtly change Amal’s hair color and length!” he wrote in a post on Instagram. “La Panthère highlights are bold but at the same time look effortless and very elegant! Amal has the most beautiful heart and she’s always the most caring person! She inspires me and always makes me think out of the box ! Love u Amal thanks for ur trust!”

Cartier’s Panthère jewelry line—which boasts celebrity fans like Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner, and Elle Fanning—comes in several different metals, including stainless steel, yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, and two-tone combinations. However, Giannetos appeared to take a multi-dimensional approach with “white gold” blonde money pieces around her face and warmer gold highlights woven throughout her dark brown hair.

Clooney paired her subtly brightened-up hair color and new chop with a Jackie O-approved outfit formula. The British lawyer embraced movie star dressing with oversized black rectangular classes and a timeless black boatneck elbow-length top. She tucked the Elie Saab basic into a statement black crocodile leather column skirt that was cinched at the waist with a matching belt featuring a gold buckle.
The star added some quiet luxury shine with a chunky bracelet and dangling earrings. A rose gold Charlotte Tilbury glam look illuminated her eyes, cheekbones, and lips with an iridescent flush.
