Ahead of the release of Toy Story 5, LEGO has released a new range of sets based on some of Pixar’s most beloved characters, including one villain that we all love to hate.

The headline set here is the Slinky Dog, which isn’t designed to roll down the stairs. That’s probably a good thing as the pieces would probably go everywhere and you’d end up stepping on them.

Instead, this Slinky serves as bookends, with the springs able to split up and hold everything together.

The set, designed for adults, features 1,311 pieces and stands at 8 foot high and 17 inches wide, although that will obviously be longer with the more books you put in between.

It comes with two books that contain some cute little Pixar Easter eggs, and two minifigures of Woody and another Slinky.

The best part is, you can turn big Slinky around, so he can look at you with those puppy dog eyes and make you feel bad for not actually reading the books you’ve put in there.

The set costs £139.99 and is available to pre-order now ahead of its release on Friday, 1 May.

There’s also the Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride set, featuring one of the Little Green Men that you can pop in the fairground ride or have standing on his own.

Designed for kids aged nine and up, the figure has a moveable face, arms and legs, while the ride can bob up and down thanks to a crank, and comes with a little coin dispenser that you can open up. This 714-piece set releases on the same date, at £54.99.

This set is also designed for kids aged nine and up, and will be released on 1 May.

There are a whole host of new characters, including one called Mr Smarty Pants, voiced by American late-night host and legendary The Simpsons writer Conan O’Brien.
