Filip Gregov’s proposal to Stella Mickunaite on the final episode of Married At First Sight left viewers shocked to their core, but it seems not everyone was thrilled for the couple.
During the Final Vows on Tuesday night, the 37-year-old Melburnian dropped down on one knee and asked his bride the big question.
It’s only the second time in the show’s history that a couple has ended the experiment being engaged.
But when the news was revealed to the other contestants during the reunion, the couple received mixed responses.
“People at the end of the day are wrapped up in their own little worlds,” Stella told TV Week.

“Some people said congratulations, others were more concerned about themselves.”
The last groom to propose on the show was Cameron Merchant, who asked Jules Robinson to marry him in 2019.
While some couples have gone on to get officially married once the show was well and truly over, it’s a very short list of those who are that committed after three months together.

How did Filip propose to Stella on MAFS?
The final part of the Channel 9 show saw the couples reunite in beautiful locations after spending a week apart.
Stella and Filip greeted each other right next to Sydney Harbour and were surrounded by beautiful flowers.
The Melbourne tradie remarked at how incredible the experiment had been, and that he’d met the love of his life.
“I love you more than I ever thought possible. I have never felt more certain of anything I know what my heart wants, something just for us, something That is truly ours,” he said.
He then bent down on one knee and asked if she would be his wife for real. Stella couldn’t believe her eyes and ears, and was overcome with emotion.
Filip asked whether she was expecting that curveball at the final vows.

“I knew this is it for me,” she replied. “But I didn’t think that you [would] do it right here, right now.
“I knew you [were] my person. I knew very early on. Some would say, in three days, I knew.”
There will be a reunion episode on Sunday, which will feature a bunch of the 2026 cast to talk about the season.
Stan’s After The Dinner Party spinoff show will then air a special After The Reunion episode on Monday night.
The streaming service will also feature another episode the following week, called MAFS: After The Experiment, which premieres on Monday April 20 from 2pm.
