A new update has arrived for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch, software version 4.6.5.2. It shares many similarities with the earlier firmware version 4.6.5.2 update for the T-Rex 3 Pro.
According to the change log, users of the T-Rex 3 are getting the new Lactate Threshold metric, with data collected automatically during Outdoor Running and Track Running workouts. Also for Outdoor Running, as well as various walking and Outdoor Cycling activities, you can now create a ‘return to start’ route while training, with route navigation to guide you. There are several new data page layouts, including options for seven or eight data fields per page. Plus, there is a wider range of icons on offer for saved location points on maps.
On top of this, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 is getting a new optional notification which can be triggered when the watch disconnects via Bluetooth. There are optimizations for the sleep algorithm, improving the watch’s ability to detect the various sleep stages. On top of this, there are enhancements for the map’s display and route creation tool, including optimized contour lines and an adjusted deviation threshold from waypoints on your route (now 100 m/330 ft).
Software version 4.6.5.2 is rolling out to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. $249.99 at Amazon) in phases. When it is available in your region, you will be able to download and install this update via the Zepp smartphone app.
