Megan Thee Stallion’s legal fight with Texas blogger Milagro Gramz has taken a new turn as the rapper pushes to have DJ Akademiks questioned further in court. The suit, first filed in 2024, accuses Gramz, whose given name is Milagro Cooper, of deliberately spreading damaging falsehoods about Megan on social media. According to the complaint, Gramz was working in connection with Tory Lanez, who is serving a ten-year sentence in California for shooting the Houston star in 2020.
Megan’s lawyers argue that Gramz was financially rewarded to publish misleading narratives and that her online campaign was coordinated directly with Lanez. Central to the case is a confidential forensic report linked to the gun used in the shooting. Although the document was under seal and not meant for public release, it appeared online in 2022, casting doubt on Megan’s account. Her team maintains that both Gramz and DJ Akademiks played a role in sharing it in an effort to sway public opinion.
Akademiks, whose real name is Livingston Allen, was questioned on August 22. A later court filing described his responses as limited. Rather than explain how the report came into his possession, he cited journalistic protections and argued that his sources were confidential. During the session, he reportedly insisted he would “never reveal” who provided the material unless a judge required it.
Megan’s attorneys are now seeking a court order in New Jersey to force Akademiks to disclose more information. They believe establishing how the sealed report traveled from the legal system into the public sphere is critical for proving the claims against Gramz. For now, the court has not ruled, leaving open the question of whether Akademiks will be compelled to testify in greater detail.
