Sprout recall: MPI warns over listeria risk in onion sprout products

Both products were sold in 120g plastic punnets.

The Southern Alp products were sold at supermarkets and retailers throughout New Zealand.

They are labelled as:

Batch J197 with a best-before date of 21/04/2026.Batch J197 with a best-before date of 23/04/2026.      Batch J199 with a best-before date of 23/04/2026.

The Pams brand Onion Sprouts Combo were sold at Four Square, New World and Pak’nSave supermarkets in the South Island.

They are labelled as:

Batch J199 with a best-before date of 23/04/2026.

This recall does not affect any other Southern Alp Sprouts or Pams brand products.

What to do if you bought the product

Affected products should not be consumed. There have been no reports of illness.
