The kitchen was painted sage green not only for its clean visual appeal, but also for its alignment with Vastu principles, where green is associated with balance and nourishment. “The marble surfaces are in fact full-body tiles, selected for their durability and seamless appearance, allowing us to achieve the look of stone while being practical for everyday use,” avers Kanakia. Originally, the home had a single kitchen located further away, but the designers completely re-zoned it into three distinct parts. “A narrow pantry lined with concealed glass-front storage for grains and storage, the main cooking area, and a utility zone that accommodates washing, drying, ironing, and a staff washroom,” shares Vakharia. “By reworking part of the living area, we were able to create a more efficient, connected layout that supports the daily functioning of the household.”
