One person has died after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 49.
Emergency services responded to the crash, near Tangiwai, in the Ruapehu district, about 6.45pm on Thursday.
Police said one person died at the scene, and another person was treated for minor injuries.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand
crew from Waiouru attended.
