Guy Sebastian has kicked off his Australian tour with a special guest joining him on stage.
On the first night of his 100 Times Around The Sun tour, the former Australian Idol winner surprised fans by inviting his uber-talented 12-year-old son, Archer, onto the stage for a rendition of Whitney Houston’s hit I Have Nothing.
Those are undeniably big notes to hit, but the star’s youngest, also a keen musician, didn’t stumble once on the classic high register, leaving fans completely in awe.
Proud mum Jules Sebastian and older brother Hudson were also left speechless as they watched the father-son duo hit the stage together for the first time.
Jules took to Instagram to share a video of the milestone moment, admitting she was feeling the pre-concert jitters beforehand for both of them.
“This is the first day of Guy’s tour, we’re starting in Newcastle. A couple of months ago, he asked Archie, our son, who is 11, if he would like to sing a song with him on tour,” she shared in the clip. “Archie has been very brave, and he’s all in.”

Later on in the footage, she shares what it was like seeing the two perform the surprise duet.
“Seeing Archie and Guy up on that stage together… I am outside of my body.”
The live audience wasn’t the only group blown away. Fans online flooded the comments with praise after watching the performance, including some other big Aussie names.
“Incredible!” wrote Australian Idol host Ricki Lee Coulter.
“Wow! That’s a BIG song! Go Archie!!!! What a legend,” added Michelle Bridges.
Even Deborah Hutton chimed in with: “Wowza! What a voice, what a moment! Love this.”
Other fans claimed “we are not worthy” of seeing such greatness in a young man brave enough to take on Whitney.
It’s not the first time Archer has shown off his impressive vocals.
The little crooner, who happened to celebrate his 12th birthday the day after his first on-stage appearance, has shared a handful of videos on Instagram, which have already attracted 29.1K followers.
And just like dad, those big notes come rather easily. He has taken on hits like the viral Pretty Little Baby by Connie Francis as well as HUNTR/X’s Golden.
Yep, that apple doesn’t fall far at all with this family.
