BTS, the K-Pop superstar band, will perform three sold-out shows in Tampa on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
But will the weather hold out for the 180,000 fans expected to attend?
Largely, yes.
The daytime temps, when fans may be tailgating outside Raymond James Stadium, are expected to top out in the upper 80s on Saturday and Sunday. On Tuesday, temperatures will ratchet up to the lower 90s in Tampa.
The National Weather Service said there will be a minor risk of heat-illness, largely for those who are extremely sensitive to hot weather.
Jennifer Hubbard, a meteorologist for the weather service’s Tampa Bay office, said to stay hydrated while outside during the hottest parts of the day.
By nightfall, when the concert is expected to begin, the mercury is likely to fall into the upper 60s.
The outdoor venue is also not likely to see rain this weekend. While some inland areas of the state could get some rain, Tampa is likely to stay dry.
Sunday is the only day during the concert run that could see a bit of rain. That afternoon, rain chances will inch up to about 20% and there’s a slight chance of thunderstorms.
By and all, weather isn’t likely to keep down the BTS ARMY this weekend.
