A cast member from the UK version of the show Gladiators has exited the competition series after three seasons, claiming it “wasn’t his decision” to leave.
Jamie Bigg, known to fans by his stage name Giant, has claimed that the show’s broadcaster the BBC ousted him after he told them his plans to go public with a new relationship with a woman who models on OnlyFans.
The official Instagram account for Giant the Gladiator made the announcement yesterday, with a statement reading that “after an incredible run, Giant’s journey on Gladiators has come to an end, but what an adventure it has been”.
But Bigg himself reposted that on his own Instagram account, explaining that he does not run the Giant the Gladiator account and has no control over what it posts.

“I want to tell you all that I won’t be coming back for season 4 of the TV show,” he wrote.
“What I do want to make clear is this wasn’t a decision I made to step away. I was faced with a choice that didn’t align with my values.”
That statement sparked confusion among fans of the show – and now, Bigg has explained exactly what he meant in a follow-up statement published byThe Mirror today.
He told the outlet he was “shocked and disappointed” to learn he wouldn’t be returning for another season of the show.
This news followed shortly after I had shared plans to go public with my relationship.”
“My partner, Taylor, is someone I’m incredibly proud of. While she is known for her work on OnlyFans, that is just one part of what she does, a business-minded entrepreneur, someone who dedicates her time to fostering dogs and genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Her values align closely with my own.
“During conversations with the BBC, ‘child safeguarding’ was raised, something I take extremely seriously, especially as a father and role model. I want to be clear that I have always upheld the standards expected of me, both professionally and personally. Being a positive role model has always been central to who I am, on and off screen. I stand by my values, and I stand by the people I love.”
Bigg closed out his statement by saying he hopes to speak more about the matter in the future.
The TV star announced in November last year that he had split with his wife of 11 years and mother to his two children, Katie.
The same month, he’d opened up about the toll his bodybuilding regime had taken on his marriage.
“Bodybuilding is tough on relationships. It’s tough on the kids,” he said on the
To The Heart Of It podcast.
“There were always ups and downs because of bodybuilding, because of how much it took away from you and the relationship.
“So I always said to my partner and kids, ‘I’ll probably live my life backwards, concentrate on me in the first part and then once I leave bodybuilding, it’s all about you’.
