WhatsApp has introduced new premium features as part of its WhatsApp Plus subscription. The update is available to a limited number of beta testers, but will be released to a wider audience in the next few weeks, WABetainfo writes.
In screenshots shared by u/elle-hacen on Reddit, WhatsApp Plus is located in the new Subscriptions tab. You can try the premium feature for free for the first month. Prices vary by region: in a specific post, Meta plans to charge 229 Pakistani rupees (about $0.8), while for the European region, the interface displays a price of €2.49 per month.
WhatsApp Plus includes additional features such as sending unique animated stickers, changing the theme (18 options available) or icon (14 available) of the application, pinning up to 20 chats instead of the free three, 10 premium ringtones for calls, shared settings for chat lists, etc.
WhatsApp Plus is available to a limited number of users who install the latest WhatsApp for Android update from the Google Play Store. iOS support is planned “at a later stage.”
