In another interesting example of an ear clip open design, OPPO announced the launch of Enco Clip2, achieving a balance between contemporary aesthetics and long-term comfort. Featuring an ultra-light 5.2g unibody design with a shape-memory Ni-Ti (nickel-titanium) arc and premium metallic finishes, the Enco Clip2 delivers up to 9.5 hours of playback while supporting Hi-Res Audio via LHDC 5.0 codec. The earbuds feature a 9mm + 11mm coaxial dual dynamic driver system, each powered by independent dual DACs.

The earbuds feature a 9mm + 11mm coaxial dual dynamic driver system, each powered by independent dual DACs.

The new open-ear clip-style earbud fuses aesthetics with premium acoustics, thanks to a collaboration with Danish audio pioneer Dynaudio. Powered by a custom 9mm + 11mm coaxial dual dynamic driver system with two independent DACs, it achieves precise frequency separation for deep bass and natural highs, enhanced by Dynaudio’s tuning for live-music-like clarity and the exclusive Dynaudio Signature sound profile. Applying what OPPO defines as a Dipole Sound Field Technology, the design also minimizes sound leakage for more discreet listening in shared spaces.

Complementing this is LHDC 5.0 from Savitech — a high-definition Bluetooth codec delivering higher bitrates for near-lossless wireless Hi-Res streaming, far surpassing SBC or AAC in detail and low-latency performance over Classic Bluetooth.

At the core of the Enco Clip2 design is a flagship 6nm AI quad-core chip with dedicated NPU that powers real-time adaptive tuning, Dipole Sound Field for minimal leakage, and improved quality calls using bone-conduction VPU microphones paired with AI noise reduction for pristine communication in noisy environments.

A comprehensive suite of AI-powered features further enhances the experience, delivering smarter and more personalized everyday interactions. The Enco Clip2 earbuds are designed to support users throughout the day, offering intuitive gesture controls to activate voice assistants or quickly launch Spotify for hands-free access. AI Translate enables real-time communication across languages, while Dual-Device Connection and remote camera control enhance productivity and flexibility across devices. The touch controls also allow users to adjust the sound volume by swiping either earbud vertically with AI automatically adjusting EQ to enhance vocal clarity, ensuring music and podcasts stay crisp even in noisy environments.

The new OPPO Enco Clip2 earbuds are available in two contrasting finishes: Luminous Gold and Slate Grey, both built on OPPO’s Unibody Ear Cuff Design using a unified process across multiple materials to achieve a more cohesive and refined look – the first application of this design approach in open-ear earbuds.

The Luminous Gold version features a premium metallic finish, using advanced NCVM (Non-Conductive Vacuum Metallization) technology adopted from jewellery, giving it a lustrous, finely polished appearance with understated elegance. By contrast, the Slate Grey version presents a sleek, modern aesthetic with a subtle, versatile character suited to everyday wear. A shape-memory Ni-Ti (nickel-titanium) arc allows the structure to naturally adapt to different ear shapes while maintaining long-term durability and stability.

Drawing on the analysis of over 3,500 ear profiles, OPPO developed a newly optimized Acoustic Ball and Comfort Bean structure to distribute pressure more evenly across contact points, enhancing comfort during prolonged listening sessions. And OPPO also designed these ear clips to be completely symmetric – no more guessing left from right. Thanks to adaptive stereo channel technology, users can even enjoy seamless stereo sound whether they wear one or both earbuds.

As open-ear designs gain traction for awareness and comfort, OPPO’s new Enco Clip2 earbuds are priced competitively at launch and set a new benchmark in the form factor, stylish as it is sonically sophisticated.

“At OPPO, design has always been a key focus,” says Eric Xiong, Product Manager of Enco Clip2. “Our goal is to create products that are not only visually refined, but also effortlessly comfortable to wear. To achieve this, we introduced a range of new solutions rarely seen in the open-ear category. With Enco Clip2, we’re not just launching another open-ear product, we’re helping set the standard for what the category should be.”
