Meghan Markle has been exposed by a royal author amid her father Thomas Markle’s bombshell claim that his estranged daughter always wanted to be “a star”. Meghan’s dad, who has been estranged from his daughter since 2018, reportedly once told author Tom Bower about a conversation he had with her when she was aged just five.
According to Tom Bower, who recently celebrated the publication of his book Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, Thomas Markle – who was previously a lightning director in Hollywood – once took Meghan to a red carpet event when she was a child.
Recalling the story on The Daily Expresso podcast, Mr Bower said: “Her [Meghan’s] father, who is a good man and she’s treated appallingly, told me of this instance when she was 5 years old.
“He was a very successful lighting director in Hollywood and he took her down the red carpet on some opening night. And she said ‘Daddy I want to do this, I want to be the star’. And that was it, she wanted to be the star.”
