Three-time Grammy-winning singer/songwriter/composer/pianist Bruce Hornsby released a new studio album, Indigo Park, back in early April.

The album’s 10 songs feature an impressive array of special guest collaborators who appear alongside Hornsby and his longtime band The Noisemakers: The late Bob Weir and Robert Hunter, as well as Blake Mills, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Dave, Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, Pino Palladino, and more.

Hornsby and his band The Noisemakers paid a visit this week to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a performance of the album’s title track as a means of showcasing the record to a national audience. It marked Hornsby’s first late-night TV performance in seven years:

A news release points out that this was the latest stop of Hornsby’s recent promotional run for the album, which also saw him pay a visit to The Adam Friedland Show, Rick Beato, Track Star, Time Crisis with Ezra Koenig, How Long Gone, NPR Weekend Edition, Literally! with Rob Lowe

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of “The Way It Is,” Hornsby’s classic single that topped the Billboard Hot 100 after its release in July 1986 and has been sampled by many hip-hop artists, including Tupac Shakur:
