Pierce Brosnan was seen eating at Soul Bar & Restaurant on Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour.
His first wife, actor Cassandra Harris, is also Australian and starred in Roger Moore’s fifth Bond film For Your Eyes Only, which came out 14 years before Brosnan’s first time starring as the iconic British spy.
Harris and the actor were married for 11 years, until she died from ovarian cancer in 1991.
Pierce Brosnan was spotted having lunch with his wife in Auckland.
Brosnan remarried in 2001, to American journalist Keely Shaye Smith, seven years after they first met at a beach party in Mexico.
The couple have two sons, Dylan and Paris, both born before their wedding, while Brosnan had three children with Harris, sons Christopher and Sean and his late daughter Charlotte.
It wasn’t clear why the former James Bond star was in Auckland.
Beyond James Bond, Brosnan is known for starring in Hollywood classics like Mrs. Doubtfire, The Thomas Crown Affair, the Mamma Mia! film series and more recently The Thursday Murder Club.
His restaurant of choice, Soul Bar & Bistro, opened in 2001 and has hosted events such as Trelise Cooper and Kathryn Wilson fashion shows.
