Prince Archie is 7 years old today! Meghan Markle posted a birthday tribute to her son on Instagram, writing, “7 years later…happy birthday to our sweet boy ,” with two photos. The first one shows Prince Harry and an infant Archie, and the second features Archie walking with his younger sister, Princess Lilibet.
Celebrating her children’s birthdays on social media has become something of a tradition for the Duchess of Sussex since she rejoined Instagram in 2024. Last year, she wrote, “Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go? (And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special ❤️)”
Archie’s birthday takes places on the third anniversary of his grandfather King Charles’s coronation. Last week, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the U.S. on a State Visit, but they did not see the Sussex family. Prince Harry told the BBC a year ago that he wanted reconciliation with his family. “There’s no point in continuing to fight any more,” the Duke of Sussex said at the time. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. But it would be nice to reconcile.” King Charles and Prince Harry last saw each other in person in September 2025
