Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson appeared on the Today Show for a performance to kick off their Summer Concert Series, but not everyone was happy with the display.

NBC viewers have been left furious after Zara Larsson’s performance on the Today show, with some people dubbing it overtly sexual. The 28-year-old Swedish pop star helped kick off the show’s Summer Concert Series on the morning sho’w s Plaza on Friday.
But viewers weren’t happy with what they were seeing on screen, with some viewers commenting that the performance was over sexualised and a bad example to the younger generation.
Taking to X, one person wrote alongside a screenshot of Zara: “No wonder this younger generation is whacked out. These performers on Today morning show. Zara Larsson and her dancers.”

In reply to someone saying Zara “looks so good” in a thread, the same person penned, “I’m waiting for some female performer to come out on stage wearing just a g-string and pasties. That’ll really be something to look up to.”
Another person said, “This Zara Larsson on the Today Show is teaching young girls how to act like hos…”

However, many came out in support of Zara, with one person arguing, “They can never make me hate her,” while another said, “It’s really hard not to love this girl. She is amazing.”
Fans also noticed one key detail in the performance. Zara’s heel broke after just three songs, but that didn’t stop her from powering through to the end.
After performing her hit songs, Midnight Sun, Pretty Ugly, and Stateside, the pop singer brought Today co-host Sheinelle Jones onstage to participate in the Lush Life dance – a favorite moment for fans as she picks out people from the audience to join in.

“We gotta dance extra hard because I lost my heel!”, she announced before picking up her right foot and showing that her sparkly silver stiletto was missing its key component.
But even that didn’t slow her down as she continued enjoying the track, effortlessly performing the viral dance moves despite the setback.
The hitmaker continued her performances and participated in several interviews with the Today cast, all while standing on a single heel.
When she returned to the stage to sing her song Blue Moon on the 3rd Hour of Today, her broken show had been replaced with a new one.

“Now, as I’m older, I really practice to be present and to be in the moment,” Zara explained on the show’s segment. “And I really do feel like I really take it all in and I feel really grateful and happy for everything that’s happening.”
Speaking about her colorful personal style, the Grammy-nominated singer said, “I think it’s just, again, coming back to what I was watching growing up and my fantasy of what an adult wears and is.
“And what I used to dress my Barbie in and, you know, just having fun with it. That’s just who I am as a person.”
She added: “I used to try to suppress that a little bit because I wanted people to look at me as cool and fashionable but now I’m just like, ‘Let’s just be true. Let’s just be true to who I am,’ which is very sparkly, on the edge of a little tacky, just fun, colorful.”
