Internet outage hits more than 1000 properties in South Auckland

Parts of South Auckland are without internet this morning, according to the Chorus outage map. Image / Chorus

A swathe of South Auckland has no broadband internet this morning, with more than 1000 properties affected.

The Chorus website shows outages stretching from Karaka through to Kingseat, as well as parts of Waiuku and Glenbrook.

Tuatahi First Fibre also reports a “major outage” to its Auckland fibre network.

Both
copper and fibre connections are affected. The outages appear to have happened just before 1am.
