Sky TV’s Sophie Moloney, Contact Energy among big winners at the Infinz Awards

Channel Infrastructure won the NZX Emerging Leader Best Investor Relations Award.

Vital Healthcare won the PwC NZ Equity Market Transaction Award for its $190 million placement and $45m unit purchase plan.

Jamie Tuuta and Michael Pohio were jointly awarded the Foundation North Te Tohu Kahukura Māori Leadership in Finance Award, recognising their longstanding contribution to Māori finance and their role in growing and transforming organisations while mentoring future leaders.

Rebecca Kingi, ESG initiatives lead at ANZ, was awarded the Hunter Campbell Emerging Leader of the Year.

Other notable winners included Milford Asset Management, which picked up the Public Trust Diversified Growth Fund Manager Award, Harmony Energy, which won the Chapman Tripp Debt Deal of the Year Award, and financial services firm Taxi, which took home the Fitch Ratings Innovation in Financial Services Award.

Tax Traders received the KPMG Corporate ESG Award for embedding ESG principles across its operations alongside strong commercial performance.

In the mid-market categories, the merger of Forest360 and PF Olsen, backed by Adamantem Capital, won the BDO Mid-Market M&A Transaction Award, while Totara Learning Solutions scooped the Tax Management New Zealand Mid-Market Debt Transaction Award.

The Community Housing Funding Agency was recognised with the Computershare NZ Debt Market Issue Award for its inaugural $200m social bond offer, establishing a new institutional asset class to help address New Zealand’s social housing shortfall.

Two finalists were also named for the Infinz Research Report Award – Ben Marshall and Harvey Nguyen – with the winner to be announced at a luncheon at NZX in Auckland on June 5.

The annual awards, attended by 750 guests, celebrate excellence and innovation across New Zealand’s financial sector, with winners selected by a panel of 40 industry judges.
