Universal Pictures, Moonbug Entertainment, Flywheel Media, Prime Focus Studios and DreamWorks Animation have just shared the first look, voice cast, and release date for the upcoming kids’ animated film, CoComelon The Movie.

Set to hit theaters on February 19, 2027, the film stars SZA, Ike Barinholtz, Nicholas Hoult, Sarah Sherman, Ego Nwodim, Josh Johnson, Matt Friend, Rhys Darby and Cristo Fernández. Each actor voices a newly created character, expanding the CoComelon world with fresh faces designed exclusively for the film,

The 3DCG film follows JJ, his friends and a new group of characters on a cinematic adventure featuring original music and expanded storytelling. Connor Esterson (Spy Kids: Armageddon) will voice JJ, Camden Brooks (Swapped) will voice Cody, Olivia London Leyva (Lopez vs. Lopez) will voice Nina and Aerina DeBoer (The Summer I Turned Pretty) will voice CeCe.

Inspired by the hugely popular global children’s franchise CoComelon, the film is produced by Moonbug Entertainment, Flywheel Media, Prime Focus Studios and DreamWorks Animation, with animation by the DNEG Group. Kat Good, whose credits include story artist work on Kung Fu Panda, directs the feature, while Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Justin Tranter serves as executive music producer.

The CoComelon children’s series teaches life skills through music, covering subjects ranging from trying new foods to bedtime routines. From trying new veggies to winding down for bed, CoComelon’s songs and content have become a go-to resource for millions of parents to learn and bond with their children. Available in more than 20 languages, the franchise reaches audiences in more than 80 countries and averages more than 4 billion monthly views on YouTube.

The franchise has expanded to include spinoffs including The Melon Patch, CoComelon Playdates with Sanrio Friends, CoComelon Lane, Cody Time, Nina’s Familia and JJ’s Animal Time, along with consumer products, games, streaming music and live entertainment offerings.

Flywheel Media is currently in production on The Angry Birds Movie 3, which Paramount Pictures will release on December 23, 2026. Prime Focus Studios recently co-produced The Garfield Movie with Alcon Entertainment for Sony Pictures. The company is also producing the live-action/animation hybrid Animal Friends with Legendary Entertainment and Ryan Reynold’s production company Maximum Effort, The Angry Birds Movie 3 with Rovio Entertainment Ltd., SEGA, Flywheel Media, One Cool Group, and dentsu for Paramount Pictures, and Ramayana, a two-part feature project based on the ancient Indian epic.
