One person has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Tokoroa.

Police responded to the collision at the intersection of Maraetai Rd and Thompson St just after midnight.

The pedestrian was seriously injured, and the road was blocked for a short time.

Inquiries into the
circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
