The National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) are gearing up for another big year of celebrating the First Nations excellence both established and emerging around the country.
The NIMAs are headed back to Darwin Amphitheatre in Garamilla/Darwin on August 8, but first they’ve gotta find their nominees – that’s where you come in.

Submissions are now open for the six categories across the awards, including:
Artist of the YearBest New TalentAlbum of the YearFilm Clip of the YearCommunity Clip of the YearSong of the Year
Artists who have previously won big at the NIMAs include BARKAA, 3%, Emily Wurramara, King Stingray, Becca Hatch and more.
Nominations are open until Friday 19 June – head on over to the NIMAs website to pitch for your faves to be considered.
Nominees and the full slate of unreal performances will be announced closer to the awards.
