Coleman said he was “really proud of his son” and would love him forever.
“Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort.”
In December, Coleman – who shares two sons, Isaac and 8-year-old Levi, with wife Mindy – revealed that Isaac had stage 3 oral cancer.
In April he said Isaac had been placed in hospice care as the family concentrated on ensuring his comfort and making the most of their time together.
Earlier, Coleman revealed Isaac had grown up with Fanconi anemia, a condition that has a “high risk of early-onset cancers” according to the Rare Disorders NZ website.
Coleman said since cancer is “a near certainty w/Fanconi anemia,” he and his wife “always knew this day was coming” in their post announcing Isaac’s cancer diagnosis.
“But it’s definitely hitting a little earlier than we hoped and is still just such a shocking thing to hear about your child, even if you’ve braced for it for years,” he wrote.
Since its 2021 premiere, Danny Go’s YouTube channel has amassed more than 4.5 million members, with a Netflix show released last month.
