Police have found the body of a missing diver in Whakatāne.
Emergency services were called on Friday afternoon after a person was said to be in distress near Sugarloaf Rocks.
The body was located on Saturday morning near the Whakatāne River entrance.
Police said they are providing support to the diver’s family, and the death will be referred to the coroner.
