Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’s youngest child is also getting into the family business.
Carys Zeta Douglas, 23, will be making her stage debut in Anton Chekhov’s play The Seagull.
The Brown University student recently moved to New York City to pursue an acting career.
Catherine Zeta-Jones’s daughter Carys doesn’t just look like a carbon copy of her mom—she’s also following in the Chicago actress’s footsteps. According to People, the 23 year old is dipping her toes into the entertainment industry with a stage debut in June, shortly after she moved to New York City to pursue professional acting.

Carys, whom Zeta-Jones shares with her husband, Basic Instinct alum Michael Douglas, will be starring in a New York City production of Anton Chekhov’s play The Seagull. The show, which is being put on by Solid Flesh productions, will have a limited run from June 20 through June 27 at Brooklyn venue St. Lydia’s. Carys will play the lead role of Nina, a driven young actress who gets caught up in a toxic love triangle that ends up being her downfall.
Carys previously starred in the 2024 coming-of-age short film F*ck That Guy, in which she starred opposite Victoria Pedretti as a high school teenager determined to lose her virginity before college.

The Brown University student graduated from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs last May with a degree in Film and International Relations. At the time, Zeta-Jones celebrated the milestone with a post on Instagram. “We are both such proud parents right now!! It’s only just begun!!” the Wednesday actress wrote, sharing a sweet photo of her and Douglas kissing their daughter’s cheeks on each side. The graduate could be seen making a silly face as she posed for the photo in a white sleeveless dress.

Carys previously opened up about her desire to join the family business, telling People last October at the 2025 PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala, “I grew up doing theater, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” she said at the time. After years of stepping out with her parents, the young star is also a red carpet veteran, most recently making a solo appearance at a Hamnet New York screening after-party on November 21.
Zeta-Jones and Douglas’s eldest child Dylan, 25, has also taken a leaf from his parents’ career success with an acting and producing debut in the thriller I Will Come to You, which also stars Peter Facinelli. He also starred in the 2025 dark comedy Truths From a Corporate Sellout.
