The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) is expanding its leadership team with the appointment of Sabina Widmann as Executive Vice President, a move the organization says is designed to strengthen member engagement and broaden support services for broadcasters navigating a rapidly evolving media environment.

Widmann will oversee broadcaster initiatives, member services and professional development efforts as RAB continues aligning its resources around the changing operational and business needs of radio companies.

She joins RAB with more than two decades of experience spanning radio, media sales, multicultural marketing and business development. Widmann most recently held leadership roles at TelevisaUnivision, where she worked across broadcast, digital and audio platforms developing integrated marketing strategies targeting Latino audiences. She exited the company in August 2023.

Her background also includes working closely with local broadcasters and advertisers in markets across the country, helping stations develop revenue opportunities, strengthen client relationships and adapt to shifting audience and advertiser expectations.

RAB President and CEO Mike Hulvey said Widmann’s experience makes her a strong fit as the organization continues evolving its role within the broadcast radio business.

“Sabina’s leadership experience, industry knowledge and understanding of broadcasters and the local communities which they serve make her an outstanding addition to the RAB team,” Hulvey said. “Her passion for helping media organizations grow and evolve will further strengthen the support, education and resources RAB provides to its members.”

The appointment comes as RAB consolidates several responsibilities internally while seeking to provide expanded resources and industry support for member stations and media companies.

Widmann has also maintained longstanding involvement with industry organizations throughout her career. She previously served on executive committees for both RAB and the Southern California Broadcasters Association and was Co-Chair of RAB’s multicultural committee.

Widmann said radio and audio remain essential platforms for both advertisers and communities despite ongoing changes across the media landscape.

“Radio and audio continue to play a vital role for our communities and advertisers,” she said. “I look forward to working with RAB’s members and team to help provide meaningful resources, education and support that help broadcasters navigate continued change and growth.”
