Susan Boyle knows how to whip her fans into a frenzy.
The beloved Britain’s Got Talent breakout star, 65, shocked followers on Wednesday, May 27, after posting a series of glamorous shots to her Instagram hinting at new music — and unveiling a striking new look in the process.
“#ad A new era starts tomorrow,” Boyle captioned the carousel of pictures, which racked up more than 20,000 likes. One photo featured the singer rocking a chic blonde bob hairstyle, oversized coat and dramatic sunglasses while crossing the street, and another showed her in front of a microphone while posing inside a recording studio.
The makeover immediately sent Boyle fans into meltdown, with fans flooding the comments section comparing her to music legends and fashion icons.
“Anna Wintour better sleep with one eye open!!!!!!!!!!!!” wrote one, while another declared, “I know a baddie when I see one.”

Others dubbed the Grammy nominee “Mary J Boyle” and praised the singer’s edgy transformation with comments like, “A diva in a bob ❤️” and “The queen of music is back!”
“Target audience: reached 🔥,” another follower wrote.
As Closer previously reported, Boyle first captured hearts worldwide in 2009 after her jaw-dropping audition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables on Britain’s Got Talent became a global sensation.
She marked the 10th anniversary of her career in 2019 with her album Ten, which featured four new tracks alongside some of her favorite songs. At the time, she also revealed dream collaborations with Lady Gaga and Michael Bublé, and praised longtime supporter Simon Cowell for believing in her from the very beginning.
Now, after spending years largely out of the spotlight following health struggles and, per Entertainment Weekly, a 2022 stroke, the Scottish superstar appears poised for a major comeback.
