SINSINAWA, Wis. (WKOW) — The Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters are asking for help to find a bronze eagle sculpture that was stolen at Sinsinawa Mound, near St. Clara Cemetery.
The sculpture was bolted down to a cement platform. It was taken the night of Thursday, May 14, according to a Facebook post from the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters.

Grant County Sheriff Craig Reukauf told 27 News that the Sisters notified the sheriff’s office of the theft and his agency is following up. He said an official investigation had not been opened, as of Wednesday morning. The sheriff also said his agency does have reports of recent thefts in that area.
Sinsinawa Mound is in the southwest corner of the state, about 20 miles south of Platteville.
The Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters are asking anyone who may have information about the theft to reach out to them. “It was a gift to Sister Rita Claire Dorner from her family, and any clues could help us bring our eagle back home!” they posted on Facebook.
