Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has been branded “Sarah Ferguson 2.0” after her latest career move. Meghan is set to reprise her acting career after stepping back from Hollywood to become a royal, and she’s set to play herself in the new movie Close Personal Friends, alongside Jack Quaid and Lily Collins.
“Both women have written children’s book, hosted podcasts, appeared on reality television, lifestyle television, and collaborated closely with Oprah Winfrey.
“Fergie has produced Hollywood films, Meghan is producing Meet Me at the Lake. Fergie played herself in an episode of Friends, Meghan is now playing herself in Close Personal Friends.”
She even compared Meghan to Kim Kardashian – who started out as a reality star but who has since made a transition into acting with projects like American Horror Story.
Simultaneously, a royal source claimed to The Vault that Meghan is “increasingly open” to accepting invites to big social events and exclusive charity functions “where her royal links remain a major attraction”, to boost her own social standing.
Earlier this week, Radar Online accused Meghan of copying Prince William as she revealed she copies his ideal way of eating scones in a new As Ever post.
Just a day after her estranged brother-in-law addressed the quintessentially British snack in a Heart FM interview, Meghan posted her own scone recipe – admitting she copies both William and the late Queen Elizabeth II by putting the cream before the jam.
