Britain’s Got Talent: Ant McPartlin suffers painful fall
The Britain’s Got Talent 2026 final has arrived, but viewers were quick to voice the same grievance.
Ten acts are performing on the BGT stage one final time in a bid to win public support – and ITV audiences wasted no time making their views known.
Presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly returned to host this evening’s series finale (May 30), one of the reality programme’s most significant events.
A combination of Golden Buzzer acts selected by the judges and those advanced to the final by public vote have been preparing to perform, yet viewers swiftly spotted something amiss.
In past series, the judges would introduce a Wild Card act during the final who hadn’t won their semi-final earlier in the week.
Yet there has been no reference to an additional performer appearing tonight, leaving fans feeling let down.

“Oh there isn’t a wildcard this year”, someone posted on X followed by a sad face emoji.
Another enquired: “Oh so no Wildcard?”, while someone else questioned: “So did they just quietly bin the Wildcard act they do every year?”
One viewer remarked: “I’m sad that there is no wildcard this year”, while another stated: “Doesn’t look like there’s a Wildcard Act this year”, accompanied by a crying emoji.
Someone else simply declared: “There’s no wild card!”

This year’s Britain’s Got Talent 2026 final features Golden Buzzer acts including vocalist Matt Juniosa, LMA and fire juggler Liewei Yang, dance ensemble Sadeck Berrabah, poet Sonny Green and drone art collective Celestrial.
The acts who progressed through the public vote are magician Fabian Fox, comedian Ted Hill, dog act Anastasiia, magician Rafferty Coope and The Hawkstone Farmers Choir.
These performers are all vying to become the 19th Britain’s Got Talent champion, securing a £250,000 prize and the opportunity to appear at the Royal Variety Performance.
