South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have slammed Donald Trump in a new video, branding him a ‘joker’ and defiantly stating that no one tells them what to do

Donald Trump has found himself the subject of numerous South Park jokes, with the show’s creators once again taking aim at the president.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone recorded a video for the 19th Television Academy Honors as their animated series received recognition. In the footage, the duo called President Trump a “joker” and made it clear they refuse to be dictated to by him.
The most recent season of South Park depicted an animated version of the president shown begging Satan for sexual favors and appearing fully unclothed. The White House fired back at the episodes, claiming the show “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread.”
In their Television Academy Honors video, however, Parker and Stone appeared unfazed by the backlash. Parker opened by saying, “For 30 years, you’ve always had some group trying to tell you what you can and can’t say. And that group has changed.
“That group has been liberal. That group’s been Republican. We’ve always known that our job was, we’re supposed to be the joker. You need that. You need someone just making fun of things. It’s a great thing to be able to be.”

The television producer cautioned, “And unfortunately, right now, we have a president who thinks his job is to be the joker.” Stone then added, “And so that’s why we dove into the [27th and 28th] season and actually put Trump in there and Jesus and started talking about Christian nationalism and all that stuff.”
He wrapped up with a statement directed at the president, “Because we had to let people know, for better or worse, if you like it or you don’t, it’s like, this is us, ok? No one’s telling us [what to do].”
Season 27 of South Park proved enormously successful, with the animated series recording its largest season debut on Comedy Central since 1999. The president, however, appeared less than impressed.

“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after ‘South Park’ for what they labeled as ‘offense’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told Variety at the time.
He continued, “Just like the creators of ‘South Park,’ the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”
Rogers finished by saying, “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history – and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
Stone and Parker’s latest comments come as they prepare for the new season of South Park to air. The program will return to screens on September 16, with it yet to be revealed if they’ll once again criticize the president.
