Carmen Electra switched up her signature blonde tresses for her latest public appearance. Attending the premiere of Scary Movie in Los Angeles on June 3, the actress and model debuted dip-dyed strands on the red carpet.
Electra, 54, sported a sheer strapless gown dripping in beaded fringe. The gothic design also featured feathers and a tulle mermaid skirt. The former Playboy covergirl accessorized with diamond jewelry, including a necklace and multiple rings, as well as a bedazzled black-and-white striped clutch.

As for her hair, Electra’s waist-length tresses were streaked with red dye—a clever ode to the bloody slasher films parodied in the Scary Movie franchise. Despite trying out a new hairstyle, she stuck to her go-to glam of black tight-lined eyes complete with smoked-out shadow, rosy cheeks, and a glossy nude lip.
Electra’s appearance in the upcoming Scary Movie reboot marks her third film in the series. Others reprising their roles include Marlon Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall.

Although she’s better known for her acting and modeling work, Electra got her start in the music industry. She was discovered and signed to a record label by Prince, who she also dated in the 1990s. Appearing on the “Legally Goff” podcast last month, Electra recalled one of the last conversations she ever had with the legendary artist, who died in 2016.
“This is a story that’s never been told,” she said, noting that “a lot of time went by and things had happened with us that, you know, weren’t great. And I think it was maybe the second-to-last time I was actually alone with him, and we were talking, he said to me, ‘You’re going to be a Marilyn Monroe type.'”

“I remember thinking, ‘That’s weird because I’m not an actress. I don’t want to be an actress. I hadn’t posed for Playboy,'” she added.
“Come to find out, I think Playboy was the first magazine Marilyn Monroe shot. I have the second-most [Playboy] covers worldwide, second to Pamela Anderson,” Electra explained. “Honestly, I feel like he was almost psychic in a way. He just knew things.”
