A beloved chef has revealed his favourite kitchen item, and the brand behind the tool isn’t surprised at all.
Andy Hearnden, who appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef this season, revealed one of his most beloved kitchen items was just $3.99 from IKEA.
The LÄTTBAKAD dough cutter allows users to scrape excess or chopped veggies off of the bench.
It also helps portion out dough, with IKEA telling Yahoo Lifestyle the team is beloved by bakers.

“One tool I use in every cook is my essential scraper (aka dough cutter or bench scraper),” he told Better Homes And Gardens.
“It’s perfect for moving things around your chopping board without dulling the end of your knife.”
The LÄTTBAKAD dough cutter has a rating of 4.6, and fans rave about the innocuous item.
“I love that it has slightly rounded corners instead of the square, sharp corners other dough scrapers have,” said one fan.
“Snapped this up when I saw it at IKEA, price so inexpensive compared to other kitchen shops. Does the job perfectly,” a second added.

“Simple product for a simple task,” they said.
IKEA was far from surprised that the item has caught the attention of the chef, who was crowned TikTok’s Food Creator of the Year in 2025.
