WASHINGTON (TNND) — Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt responded to late night host Jimmy Kimmel saying he would rent him a U-Haul to leave the city.
During his monologue on Tuesday evening, Kimmel said he rented Pratt a U-Haul to leave Los Angeles.
“Spencer Pratt was in second place early on, but now with 97% of the votes counted, has dropped to third behind L.A. City Council member Nithya Raman and incumbent mayor Karen Bass,” Kimmel said during his monologue, according to Variety. “They will go to a November runoff against each other — Spencer Pratt will not. And the MAGA crowd is now using this to try to claim the election was rigged.”
He said that Pratt said that if he didn’t become Los Angeles mayor, he would leave the city.
Kimmel stated that Pratt “clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, that he was going to move out of L.A. And Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go. We’re going to miss the hell out of you. You’re a man of your word, and you gotta go.”
Then the show showed footage of a U-Haul that had “just defeated” on it’s side.
Pratt responded on the social media platform, X with video footage of his house which burned down in the Palisades fire last year.
“Jimmy Kimmel i guess you missed the part of the story i don’t need a U-HaulI have nothing left to pack,” he captioned the video.
Pratt lost the Los Angeles mayoral race earlier this week. Incumbent mayor Bass will face Raman in the November runoff.
