Flights were disrupted at Auckland Airport on Saturday due to fog.

Restrictions have been in place since 4.30am.

Thirty-four flights have been either cancelled or delayed so far.

Ten regional flights have been cancelled, and 21 regional flights have been delayed.

For main trunk services three flights to Queenstown has been delayed.

International flights have not been affected.

Auckland Airport is urging passengers to check the website or app for the latest flight arrival and departure information.

The disruption is occurring as Wellington Airport tries to get back to normal services after the terminal was evacuated last night due to a fire.

Several flights were cancelled.

Fire and Emergency is investigating the cause of the fire.
