Linda Cartier and John Lindsay will discuss estate planning and the disposition of assets at the event
Learn what the Sudbury chapter of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons has been up to for the past year and brush up on estate planning at the CARP annual general meeting June 18.
The event will be held at St. Peter’s United Church, 2023 York St., starting at 1 p.m.
CARP members and interested adults age 55 and over are welcome to attend to learn more about the group and to highlight the group’s activities over the past year.
The meeting will also include a presentation on estate planning from Linda Cartier, a certified and registered financial planner. A news release from CARP states Cartier and her partner John Lindsay will discuss the “importance of estate planning and the disposition of assets before and at the end of life.”
“Estate planning is a critical component of financial wellness and peace of mind,” CARP said in the release. “This presentation will provide practical information to help older adults make informed decisions about their future and the legacy they wish to leave.”
The event will also feature refreshments, desserts, door prizes and free parking.
