Marvel fans are on top of the world right now with multiple new releases, and things are only going to get busier as we move closer to the end of the year. Marvel stunned the world by dropping all episodes of Wonder Man on Disney+ as a binge release, and while the long development time had fans worried about the show, it debuted to widespread acclaim from critics and audiences, enough so to earn a rare Season 2 renewal. Marvel kept the TV momentum going with the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which led directly into the Jon Bernthal-led Punisher special, One Last Kill. Bernthal will also star as Frank Castle later this summer in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the final Marvel film before Avengers: Doomsday.
However, amidst all these big live-action projects comes the highly anticipated second season of X-Men ‘97, which doesn’t begin streaming until July 1. After Season 1 became the highest-rated Marvel project in history, the studio showed extreme confidence in Season 2, lifting the review embargo over the weekend, two full weeks before its premiere. At the time of writing from 12 reviews, X-Men ‘97 Season 2 holds a flawless 100% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Collider’s Aidan Kelly reviewed the show at a strong 8/10 clip, praising the “beautiful animation” and “depiction of Apocalypse,” the new feature villain of the show. Nicholas Brooks reviewed Season 2 for CBR, giving it an even stronger 9/10 and lauding the “higher stakes,” but admitting that it could be “too violent for young children.” Simon Gallagher of ComicBook.com also had good things to say about the show in his review, saying that it “mostly continues the good work of the first season.”

Marvel Has Another Big Show Coming to Disney+ in October
While fans are understandably excited about X-Men ‘97, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Avengers: Doomsday, there is another Marvel project coming down the pipe to look forward to. The show in question is, of course, Vision Quest, which has been set for release on October 14. Paul Bettany will finally return as Vision in the show after last being seen in the first-ever Marvel Disney+ show, WandaVision, and Marvel is also bringing back MCU veterans such as James Spader as Ultron and Faran Tahir as Raza. Plot specifics about Vision Quest are being kept under wraps at this time, but it has been confirmed to follow Vision as he works to piece his memory back together.
